Frequently asked questions
Answers on our products and services. New to genset jargon? The glossary explains it in plain language.
What is block loading, and why does it matter more than kVA rating?
Block loading is the largest load a generator can accept in a single step without stalling or a damaging voltage dip. The Rishabh RT+ range accepts 70–80% of rated output in one step (up to 20 kVA on a 25 kVA set), and we publish the exact figure for every rating. No competing manufacturer in this segment publishes a block-loading figure at all. Two gensets with the same kVA rating can behave completely differently when a lift, compressor and AC bank restart together after a power cut. The block-loading figure, not the kVA badge, is what predicts that moment.
What is a GOEM, and is Rishabh one?
A GOEM (Generator Original Equipment Manufacturer) buys engines from an engine maker and builds the complete generator set around them. Rishabh Power Solutions is an authorised Tata Motors GOEM. The engine comes from Tata Motors, and the complete genset is built, tested and warranted by Rishabh at our Ghaziabad facility, co-branded under both names. We are a manufacturer, not a reseller.
What generator sizes does Rishabh offer?
The RT+ diesel range spans eleven ratings from 25 to 125 kVA, all CPCB IV+ compliant. Alongside it we offer RG gas gensets (25–125 kVA), RK portable diesel sets (3.5 and 5 kVA), mobile lighting towers (5–15 kVA), and YES1 automatic transfer switch panels from 16 A to 3200 A.
Can Rishabh generators handle Indian summer temperatures?
Yes. The RT+ range delivers its full Prime-rated output at 50 °C ambient, with Continuous (COP) rating up to 40 °C and no derating up to 1,000 m above sea level. Generator ratings are normally declared at the ISO 8528-1 reference of 25 °C. A May afternoon in North India is far hotter than the reference lab, which is why this margin matters.
What is the warranty on a Rishabh generator?
2 years or 5,000 hours, whichever comes first, with 1 + 4 free services, one more than the industry-standard 1 + 3. Warranty and service support are delivered through a 400+ service dealer network.
Do you offer single-phase generators?
Yes. RT+25 through RT+62.5 are available in both single-phase and three-phase configurations. RT+82.5, RT+100 and RT+125 are three-phase only.
My generator isn't CPCB IV+ compliant, so do I have to replace it?
No. The GenForce RECD (Retrofit Emission Control Device) from Rishabh brings an existing diesel generator into CPCB/NGT compliance without replacing the machine. This is directly relevant for sites under Delhi-NCR GRAP restrictions, where non-compliant sets face operating bans.
Can I reduce my generator's diesel cost?
Yes. The GenForce Dual Fuel System converts an existing diesel generator of any brand to run on a diesel-and-gas mixture (natural gas, LPG or CNG), cutting fuel cost and emissions while retaining the ability to revert to pure diesel at any time.
Is CPCB IV+ mandatory in India?
Yes. CPCB IV+ emission norms apply to all new diesel generator sets up to 800 kW sold in India, notified in 2023 and enforced from 1 July 2024. Existing older sets can be brought into compliance with a retrofit emission control device (RECD) instead of replacement.
What size generator do I need?
Size against your largest starting step, not just total connected load. A single 75 HP direct-on-line motor can demand a bigger set than the entire steady load of the building around it. Our free load calculator at /tools/kva-calculator checks all three sizing limits (steady kVA, motor starting step and engine kW ceiling) across 30+ industry templates, and an RPSL engineer can confirm the result with a free site survey.
Do you service generators from other brands?
Yes. Rishabh services diesel generators from every major manufacturer (Kirloskar, Cummins, Mahindra, Greaves, Eicher, Perkins and Ashok Leyland), alongside our own Tata-powered RT+ sets, through a 400+ service dealer network. One contract, one number, one accountable team.
Which areas do you cover?
Sales and service across Uttar Pradesh, Delhi NCR, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Bihar and Jharkhand, with exports to Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia.
What certifications does Rishabh hold?
ISO 9001:2015 (quality management) and ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management), both certified by QRO Certification LLP. The entire current genset range is CPCB IV+ compliant.
